O-1 Visa
The O-1 visa is for individuals with extraordinary ability or achievement in sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. Unlike the H-1B, there is no annual cap or lottery. Applicants must demonstrate sustained national or international acclaim through evidence such as major awards, published articles, high salary (top 10% in the field), or significant contributions. Processing can be done in 15 business days with premium processing ($2,805). The O-1 is valid for up to 3 years and can be extended in 1-year increments. It allows dual intent in practice.
