What is the L-1 Visa?

The L-1 visa enables companies operating both in the U.S. and abroad to transfer certain employees to U.S. offices. L-1A is for managers and executives, while L-1B is for employees with specialized knowledge. This visa is commonly used by multinational companies expanding to the United States.

Eligibility Requirements

Employed by the company abroad for at least 1 continuous year within the last 3 years
Transferring to a parent, subsidiary, affiliate, or branch in the U.S.
L-1A: Manager or executive role
L-1B: Specialized knowledge of the company's products, services, or processes
