E-2ビザは、日米友好通商航海条約に基づく投資家ビザです。米国で事業を設立・運営する日本人起業家が最も多く利用するビザカテゴリーで、最低投資額の法的規定はありませんが、通常10万〜20万ドル以上の投資が求められます。初回は最長5年、更新は無制限に可能です。配偶者は就労許可（EAD）を取得でき、21歳未満の子どもは扶養家族として滞在できます。
