Dépôt de Garantie
À New York, la loi limite le dépôt de garantie à l'équivalent d'un mois de loyer pour les appartements couverts par la loi sur la stabilisation des loyers. Le propriétaire doit restituer le dépôt dans un délai de 14 jours après la fin du bail, accompagné d'un décompte détaillé des déductions éventuelles. Le non-respect de cette obligation peut entraîner des pénalités pour le propriétaire.
