E-2 비자의 핵심 요건. 투자액이 사업 총비용에 비해 '상당한' 수준이어야 합니다. 법적 최소액은 없으나 소규모 사업은 10만 달러, 레스토랑이나 소매업은 15만~30만 달러가 일반적입니다. 비례성 테스트에 따라 사업 규모가 작을수록 투자 비율이 높아야 합니다.
