E-2 비자는 우호통상항해조약에 기반한 투자자 비자입니다. 조약국 국민이 미국에서 사업을 설립하고 운영할 수 있게 합니다. 법정 최소 투자액은 없으나 보통 10만~20만 달러 이상이 필요합니다. 최초 최대 5년간 발급되며 무제한 갱신이 가능합니다. 배우자는 취업허가(EAD)를 받을 수 있고, 21세 미만 자녀는 부양가족으로 체류할 수 있습니다.
