Investissement Substantiel
L'USCIS évalue le caractère substantiel de l'investissement selon un test de proportionnalité : plus le coût de l'entreprise est faible, plus le pourcentage investi doit être élevé. En général, un investissement de 100 000 dollars ou plus est considéré substantiel pour la plupart des entreprises. Les fonds doivent être « à risque », c'est-à-dire engagés de manière irréversible dans l'entreprise.
