Visa J-1
Le visa J-1 est utilisé pour diverses catégories d'échange, notamment les étudiants, les professeurs, les chercheurs, les stagiaires et les au pairs. Certains titulaires du J-1 sont soumis à l'exigence de résidence à l'étranger de deux ans et doivent retourner dans leur pays d'origine avant de pouvoir changer de statut ou obtenir certains visas. Cette exigence peut être levée dans certaines circonstances.
