Le visa E-2 est accordé aux investisseurs provenant de pays ayant conclu un traité de commerce et de navigation avec les États-Unis. Il permet au titulaire de résider et de travailler aux États-Unis en tant que dirigeant de l'entreprise dans laquelle il a investi. Le visa est renouvelable indéfiniment tant que l'entreprise reste opérationnelle.
