Concepto que permite ingresar con visa de no inmigrante mientras se tiene la intención futura de obtener residencia permanente. Las visas H-1B y L-1 permiten doble intención, pero F-1 y B-1/B-2 no. La visa E-2 tiene una aceptación limitada de doble intención.
