Statusanpassung
Der Antrag auf Statusanpassung wird mit dem Formular I-485 bei der USCIS eingereicht. Voraussetzung ist, dass ein Immigrant Visa sofort verfügbar ist und der Antragsteller die Zulassungskriterien erfüllt. Während der Bearbeitung erhält der Antragsteller in der Regel eine Arbeitserlaubnis (EAD) und eine Advance Parole für Reisen ins Ausland.
